Our second group art show and weeklong event at White Box Gallery, is inspired by the downtown New York City art, music and nightlife scene of the late ‘80’s into the early ‘90’s. That time and the infamous outlaw parties were symbolic of our city and the way we lived our lives.
The mix of squatters, punks, skaters, people with ‘real jobs’ and their dealers, artists, DJs, musicians, party promoters etc., was inspiring.
From the famous to the nameless we will pay homage to those that played a role in making New York City the epicenter of all that was cool in the world and is still evident in today’s music, art and fashion.
